Cab view taken during a night trip for testing the radio signal named GSM-R with a special labs car on the South-East high speed line. Global System for Mobile Communications Railway or GSM-Railway is an international wireless communications standard for railway communication and applications. The locomotive is specially equipped to run on high speed lines with a system named "cab signal" that you can see on the upper of the part of panel. Three "0" in red are displayed and that said to the driver to stop the train at the next "execution sign" placed on the track. The "cab signal" system is an embedded system for High speed trains where the signal information are only displayed in the cab, there no lights signal on the track and all information are transmitted trough the railway at the locomotive with this special system. The screen on the center of image is an Ipad, this is SNCF drivers tool system named "Sirius" where the travel is detailed with speed limit, name of crossed stations, warning bulletin, delayed time and all other technical documents needed for the driver...
