Snow in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa, is rare in terms of it falling in areas that affect the Natal Main Line. Pretty heavy snow falls in July 2011 through Hidcote, Mooi River, Rosetta, Nottingham Road and as low down as Balgowan and Lidgetton saw the line being shut down, with these two Durban bound trains being stopped and staged at Glencoe Station (Northern KwaZulu Natal) due to fallen trees / branches pulling down overhead electricity cables.
