The 957 clatters through Oak Interlocking on its way to Washington, DC. No. 957 was built as an E60CH (equipped with head-end power) by General Electric for Amtrak in November, 1975, and was later rebuilt as an E60MA (for "motor-alternator") and renumbered as the 609.
