Remarks & Notes
The day after Christmas is one of the busiest days for vehicle and foot traffic in San Francisco, as evidence here in the Fishermans Wharf, as PCC #1075 threads its way through the insane congestion. PCC 1075 was originally built for the Twin City Rapid Transit Company in 1946 and was sold to Public Service Coordinated Transport, (Newark, NJ) in 1953. It is painted to honor Cleveland Transit System, which ran PCC streetcars from 1946 to 1953. You know the old saying goes "They're running like street cars", well, the street cars were barely moving on this day!
