The Canadian Locomotive Company built this 2-6-0 steam engine in February of 1902. She was built for the Grand Trunk Railway as #1017, later renumbered as #919, a number that stayed on after the 1923 merger with the Canadian National in 1923. In 1952, this engine was renumbered as #92. This is the number she kept after being sold to the Wilmington & Western's predecessors, the Historic Red Clay Village in 1958. Restored in 1966, she became the line's first engine and ran until encountering firebox issues in 1972. The railroad, which has 2 other operational steam engines, has long term plans to restore this "Mogul" to operation. Until then she sits outside the shops. A sister to #92, #89, operates near by at the Strasburg Rail Road, in PA.
