| View from the 126 meter high "Prime Tower" (Zürich's highest building) towards WNW (west north west) with Altstetten (left), Schlieren and Spreitenbach in the far distance. In the middle on the right is the large track field and the 420 meter long hall of the Herdern maintenance center and holding sidings. In the middle the yellow cranes are building the next part of the SBB's own "WestLink" building project beside Zürich Altstetten station. From the left to the center the new 1156 meter long (longest in Switzerland) Letzigraben bridge (single track) swings up to 16 meter high over the whole track field from the main station to Altstetten. |
