Remarks & Notes

The MILW mainline from the Quad Cities to Savanna on the Illinois side of the Mississippi River was a secondary route by this time in the 1970's and was used when the mainline on the Iowa side of the river was at capacity or closed due to flooding. The latter appears to be the reason MILW 2027 East is running through Albany with Mississippi River floodwaters filling the ditches.
