Spotted in the BNSF Railway's Barstow diesel facility is SD60M 1449. But in February 1991 as Burlington Northern 9272, this big EMD product became Burlington Northern Santa Fe 9272 when the BN and Santa Fe merged in 1996. The engine was later renumbered to BNSF 8172 to make room for new SD70MACs, and was again renumbered to make room for new ES44C4 diesels.
