Juxtaposition: GRLW's EMD GP9 duo no. 3751 & 3752 are strategically placed at the former Piedmont & Northern River Junction shops in Greenville, SC before having all truck set assemblies replaced on both units. The unsung railroad famous hot spot of the textile capitol of the world in it's day; River Junction was the main service hub for both passenger and freight equipment for the P&N's South Carolina Division. The lightning bolt herald on the GRLW is a stem of it's heritage.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
