Taking care of (what little) business (remains)
210 empty hoppers and three generations of GE products head down the Big Sandy Subdivision towards Paintsville, passing the C&O bracket signals at Calgon. With the severely dying coal industry and a section of the former Clinchfield Railroad in Virginia mothballed, these rails see maybe one or two trains a day...just enough to keep the rails shiny. |
