Remarks & Notes
The National Limited, on its way from New York to Harrisburg and Kansas City, pauses at the 1929-built PRR high-level platform. The center two tracks here were for through trains and freights, and have since been removed. Locomotive 4895 was built in April, 1940 by PRR/Westinghouse, and was 36 years old at the time of this photo, which was scanned from an ASA-400 Kodak TRI-X Pan negative.
