On September 29th, a day before the last day on Clark's Gap, myself and several friends climbed the hill to witness the last loaded coal train climb the 2.2% grade at Garwood. The wait was longer than expected as the rainy day turned to night, but the experience was one not to be forgotten.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
