After a very, very long and sometimes tremendously challenging journey, the swiss crocodile Ce 6/8 III # 14305 reached Gävle in Sweden today, from Stockholm running under own power and alone with a respectable train (Sweden has the same electric overhead system of 15000 V AC 16,7 Hz as Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Norway). Here the train is passing the old station of Tierp, about 53 kilometer south of Gävle. The swiss crododile was the only locomotive from a foreign country on the large event celebrating 100 years since first electrification of swedish railways.
