Where Rio Grande trains once thundered eastbound to attack the steep grade over Tennessee Pass is now seemingly a garden of sorts. On August 12, 2015, at the east end of the CTC siding at Minturn, Colorado, is a view of a main line that hasn’t seen a train since 1997. Somewhere under all of those flowers is heavy-duty track and a power switch!
