Three of a kind - For a few years, there were three GG1's at the Pennsylvania Railroad Museum in Strasburg. On this day, PRR 4800, or "old rivets", the original GG1, and Conrail 4859 were joined by PRR 4935, which had just arrived from Amtrak's shops in Wilmington, Delaware. After a restoration of 4859 in the Strasburg Railroad's shops, it was located to its permanent home in Harrisburg in 1986.
