| Jim Thorpe is one of the most scenic towns in the northeastern United States. The only thing that could make the town even better is a visit by a genuine Lima built S-2 class 2-8-4 Berkshire. This is historic in that NKP 765 is not the first Lima Berk visitor; sister NKP 759 was. However, it has been a mighty long time, about 40 years since. I missed the 759 trips and I am glad to have lived long enough to see it again. |
