Remarks & Notes
Always Expect a Train.. Highway 30 follows Union Pacific's Transcon mainline across the state of Nebraska and along this line, there a lot of railroading crossings. In Lexington, there is reminder of the dangers of being near railroad tracks. A car that was hit at one of the road crossings east of town is still off the side of road. The phrase "Always expect a train" is written on both sides of the car as an eastbound Union Pacific manifest train rumbles by.

Pictures of things often unseen in the world of railroading. Interesting equipment, operations, and people that help the railroad go around.
