Remarks & Notes
Clouds build in the New Mexican sky as Amtrak No. 3 rounds the curve at the intermediates in Valmora just east of Watrous. Tri-light signal replacements have been installed, but are not in service yet. As of July 27, 2015, this shot is not possible anymore as the semaphores were taken down and tri-light signals were put into service.

The Southwest Chief is an under-appreciated train. The New Mexico scenery is like none other in the entire system.
