Remarks & Notes

An SY engine drags a long rake of empty coal wagons into the township of Wujiu on the 9th of December 2012. The first steam photographer to visit this isolated location in the far north east of China was a Chinese steam photographer during Christmas 2011 who endured minus 44 degrees Celsius temperatures, and then followed by the first western photographers in March 2012. The locals commented that they were the first westerners to ever visit the area. A diesel has since arrived at this location.
