Near as I can tell, this is the first and only image of the Energy branch of the UP / DRGW (14+ miles to the Twentymile Mine) here on Railpics. This is too bad, because like the entire branch to Craig it's wonderfully scenic. Unfortunately, it's also pretty quiet these days with the downturn in the coal market. Luckily I was able to catch this load on its way toward the main line and eventually the Moffat Route during some free time on a recent trip to Steamboat Springs. It was a fun chase on scenic back roads, and I hope to return soon with more photos to share.
