After stopping to meet two southbound CSX K458-30 (Belton, SC-Decatur, IL (ADM) the empty "corn fuel train" is now underway heading north through historic downtown Stevenson, AL (M.P. J-112.7 Stevenson). We are on the CSX side of the line where train traffic runs north to Nashville, TN and south to Chattanooga,TN. Just on the other side of the Depot is the east end of Norfolk Southern's Memphis East-End District. where train that are either coming from Memphis, TN or Sheffield, AL would head east, and use CSX trackage to get to Chattanooga, TN, and vice versa, but in these little communities along the CSX Chattanooga Sub, and the Memphis East-End is enrich with railroad, and civil war history which its never dull to discover when your out railfanning.
