A mere monument kept as a extra, the nose of TSBY 388, a GP35 originally purchased by Ann Arbor in 1964, was involved in a rollover wreck in Northern Michigan, and due to the heavy damage it received and the state of the railroad at that time, it was decided that the unit was to be scrapped in Owosso. Despite the scrapping, the thrifty railroad decided to part out the unit for whatever they could, and one item that was saved was the nose. Nowadays, the face of the beast sits in the back lot of the shops, forlorn and forgotten, nothing more than a mere lawn ornament.
