UP's hot NPLAT intermodal rolls west through Stockton, Utah with eight HOGX stock cars on Oct. 23, 1993. These 60 foot box cars were built by Gunderson in 1989 with adjustable louvers and three levels with a capacity of 300 hogs per car. They were loaded in Nebraska, Iowa, and Kansas for the Clougherty Packing Company of Vernon (Los Angeles), California.
