CNW 6811 and an SD45 highball train 472 east near Fall Creek, the first village east of Eau Claire/Altoona, WI. Train 472 was assigned to handle traffic from East Minneapolis to Green Bay, routed via Merrillan and Wausau, WI. It was later re-routed to Fond Du Lac via Adams and Clyman Jct., and finally to Butler (Milwaukee). These changes caused multi-day delays in transit time, and signaled CNW's growing lack of interest in Wisconsin carload business.
