| Detroit-Edison coal loads have just finished loading at Sylvester mine and are seen here easing into one of the railroad's most obscure coal terminals at Elk Run Jct. The train will receive a recrew at daybreak tomorrow for a 45-mile trip down the Coal River to the former C&O mainline at St. Albans. BNSF run-through coal trains have been increasingly common in recent years as domestic coal shipments try to hang on amid vigorous regulatory guidelines. |
