A pair of Grand Trunk Western SD40-3s--power for the L546 local--heads up an impressive string of motive power parked at Carworks in Madison, IL. The heavily Canadian lineup includes a zebra striped SD40-2W, a pair of ex-CP GP9s, Bessemer tunnel motor #903, an Indiana Southern GP40, a freshly painted C40-8, and three widecabs. Most of this power is bound for Quality Rail Services in Madison, though the Canadian Pacific Geeps are bound for Metro East Industries in nearby East St. Louis.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
