| A Southern Pacific manifest passes Universal Feeds as it heads east out of Colton, California, on a crisp January 1978 day. A quartet of six-motor diesels leads the train this day: SP SD45s 9073 and 8862, Conrail SD40 6353 (still in predecessor Penn Central paint) and SP U33C 8754. |
