The heavies have just moved out of the sand box while a variety of light power wait for assignments. The North Yard provides an opportunity to see vintage power, many having been acquired from other flags. Original UP flagged engines include UP 7247 (Ac4400CW), UP 9729 (C44-9W), UP 8420 (SD70ACe), UP 712 (GP38-2) and UP 553 (GP38-2). Engines that served other flags include UP 1443 (GP40 formerly with St. Louis Southwestern - 'Cotton Belt', UPY 1484 (MP15AC formerly with Southern Pacific), UPY 1449 (MP15AC formerly with Southern Pacific), and UPY 691 (GP38-2 formerly with Missouri Pacific).
