Remarks & Notes
UP 6930 with a typical pair of DD40AXs spliced by a "fast forty" SD40-2 make easy work of the Blue Mountains south of Meacham, OR. The train originate with priority traffic from Seattle and Portland with the primary destination of Chicago and connections. Today's train is deadheading John Kennefick's business car from Portland back to Omaha just behind the locomotives.
