Four of the ageing GE class 34 U26C's allocated to Millsite depot in Krugersdorp are working a container train to Mafikeng, here slowly making their way down the long grade into Magaliesburg. The train is passing under the R24 road bridge, which carries a continuous stream of heavy trucks (visible in the distance abve the train) that compete with the railway for traffic to and from South Africa's western neighbour, Botswana.
