USAX 6522 is a brand new (built in May) model 3GS-18B, made for the US Army by NRE – National Railway Equipment Company out of Illinois. Serial number 239-6522-5-2015, the 280,000 lb. locomotive incorporates a QSX15 power plant, producing 1800 HP. I assume it is destined for Fort Carson, Colorado, home of the 3rd Infantry Division.
