Remarks & Notes

The Rock Island depot museum in Eldon, IA has purchased a former Santa Fe GP7 from NRE in Silvis and is having it restored and painted as Rock Island 1275 in the red/yellow scheme with large white block lettering. Members at the museum are aware of the inaccuracies with making a former Santa Fe GP7 into a Rock Island GP7. Photo was taken with permission from NRE while wearing proper PPE.
