On a warm summer morning I found myself trackside awaiting a delayed SU-100. As the sun rose above the mountains in Northwest Jersey the persistent hum of EMD's could be heard in the distance, followed by a horn blowing for crossings. The rails started squealing, the crossing gates had activated and the SU-100 came ripping through with 4 EMD's powering the manifest. Of note is the third engine in consist NYSW 3810, the engine was on its second run to New Jersey and was the first of six SD60's to arrive on the railroad that year.
