20 years ago, Santa Fe was enjoying its last months as an independent carrier with Superfleet power and high speed intermodal trains racing between Chicago and California. ATSF 219 et al illustrate the best of the best as new SD75Ms and C44-9Ws roll this intermodal past a breezy reflection pond at Leeds, IL. This was the final power purchased prior to the BNSF merger that occurred a few months later.
