| Both BNSF and UP could not double track fast enough to keep pace with the increase in coal traffic emanating from the Powder River Basin in Wyoming. Here an eastbound coal train with a pair of handsome SD-70MACs passes new construction of a second main and control point west of Mullen during the summer of 1998. |
