A pair of Union Pacific GP7s, 119 and 114, assist a passenger train over southern California's Cajon Pass. The eastbound passenger train, most likely train #10, the "Domeliner" (Los Angeles CA to Saint Louis, MO), is led by an A-B-A set of PA-1s. Interestingly, this train was numbered #210 while on the Santa Fe from Riverside to Daggett, over which the UP has trackage rights. The two GPs were built in summer 1953 as 719 and 714, and they were renumbered to 119 and 114 just a few months later, in fall 1953. Unfortunately, this slide has no date, but it was most likely in the mid-1950s, as the PAs were later supplanted by E-Units on the Los Angeles & Salt Lake Route.
