The spacious lobby of Chicago's Union Station as seen from the balcony. You wouldn't guess by looking, but this is the third busiest rail terminal in the United States. Then again, the image was captured at 2 PM. The ticket offices are down a corridor in the center of this photo and to the right where the hustle and bustle of commuters is much more obvious. A beautiful concourse building was just above but was demolished in 1968.
