Norfolk Southern train 957-30, the maiden voyage of the Norfolk & Western Class J 4-8-4 #611, is seen high-stepping over the Roanoke River on a gorgeous afternoon for a steam chase. While the photo doesn't do the locomotive's sound justice, imagine if you will the driver sound at speed and that distinctive deep whistle of the sleek #611.
