Remarks & Notes
Like a snake in the grass, here we see Amtrak's westbound Southwest Chief #3 as it slowly negotiates the twists and turns of Apache Canyon, on a warm and sunny mid-spring afternoon. Coming in at a length of roughly 1,000 feet, the train is only slightly shorter than the canyon itself.
