Union Pacific's Plummer Turn is headed toward its namesake of Plummer, ID on the eastern fringes of the beautiful Palouse Country in southeastern Washington state. This portion of trackage is formerly Milwaukee Road between Manito, WA and Plummer Jct. ID and is how the MILW accessed Spokane from the east off their Pacific Coast Extension. This line hangs on and UP continues to operate it as far as Plummer to provide an outlet for the Saint Maries River Railroad, traffic that is based heavily on the forest products industry.
