This view of the Appleyard derailment on May 13 shows the third stack train 5 platform set. The first platform jack knifed as a result of the second set on the right tipping over. BNSF personnel inspect the broken rail that likely caused the cars to derail. Three 5 unit platforms derailed, the second set went over on its side, and as can be seen here, two of the 5 platforms on the third set derailed. They were close enough to the mainline to close the railroad at least until about 315 pm.
