There is a nice contrast in railroad technology in Fullerton, California, on May 3rd, 2015. On the left, on display for the annual Fullerton Railroad Days, is Santa Fe 4-8-4 3751 (built in 1927) and BNSF Railway ES44C4 8357 (built in 2015). Passing by on the mainline is a Metrolink train with Korean-built cab car 686, just a few years old. (And barely visible in the background, behind the tents, is a 1925-built 0-4-0 that Disneyland converted to a 2-4-0 and cosmetically backdated to an 1890s appearance.)
