Remarks & Notes

My wife Katie holds our 6-month old Beagle Riley, as they watch Amtrak’s westbound California Zephyr climb the two-percent grade toward Big 10 Curve west of Rocky, Colorado, on April 22, 2006. We still enjoy hiking out to “the curve” in open space with our two dogs—I only wish the railroad was as busy now as it was back then.
