| The young fireman on Saiccor No. 3, ex South African Railway Class 19D, No. 2767, is probably taking a moment to ponder the imminent end of working steam on the KwaZulu Natal South Coast. It will be a very sad end of an extraordinary era when diesel traction replaces the steam operations at the Sappi / Saiccor Mill in Umkomaas in the next few months. |
