| This is the only photo I ever took of an original scheme Chicago Great Western locomotive. By the time CNW took over the railroad in July 1968 most engines were either painted red with black roofs, or a brownish-maroon dip job. This was a pleasant surprise to find hidden off the beaten path in Red Wing, Minnesota, better known for being on Milwaukee Road's Twin Cities-Chicago mainline. |
