Remarks & Notes
BN 7101 East blasts out of Nebraska’s only railroad tunnel at Belmont on Aug. 30, 1979 before BN extensively rebuilt its principal coal line over Crawford Hill to double track to handle all the coal trains to and from the Powder River basin. The tunnel still exists today as a company MofW road.
