Remarks & Notes
In the early morning sunshine Rio Grande's ski train passes the first siding out of Denver at Leyden, headed for the Continental Divide to drop its eager passengers just outside Moffat Tunnel. The old coaches built in 1915 for the Northern Pacific of course had no H.E.P. so the train always carried a steam heater car.
