Sometimes waiting for 'all the stars to align' is difficult but well worth the wait... This was one such time. Having waited all winter for the combination of this scene with snow on the ground, a brilliantly clear starry night, an all-red VRS consist, an unusually late run and temps that weren't -30, this all finally came together with GMRC train 264 rolling westbound through East Wallingford, Vermont. The scene is classic rural Vermont and required four Alien Bees (RIP Paul C. Buff...this was a tribute to you) AB1600s to illuminate. A special thanks to our crew du jour, Bill and Rod, for tolerating my silly requests to get such a shot...
