It's the 3rd day of Spring, and it certainly feels like it. After completing it's work in the general Lewistown area, two GP38-2's make quick work of hauling C42's train through the banked curve on the approach to JACKS Interlocking with 27 cars for Altoona. A perfect Spring day is soon to draw to a close, but C42 would certainly not be the last train to echo through the Juniata River Valley on this afternoon in late March, as the rails of the old PRR Middle Division are very rarely quiet...
