Here at the northern end of the Bronx and New York City, the land begins to open up to less density but not without a fight. The Tracy Towers were built with public/private money in 1967-71. At 41 and 38 stories, these are the borough's tallest buildings. Designed by Paul Rudolph in a post modernist Brutalism style, you either love them or hate them. Count me in the latter.
Meanwhile, a No. 4 train, one stop away from it's terminal, struggles on through what will probably be the last snow storm of the season even if this is actually the first day of spring.
